This Degree programme brings together the twin disciplines of Accounting and Finance and is suitable for students seeking to pursue a career in Accountancy or Financial Services sectors.
Professional Accreditations
- Accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)*
Receive exemptions for up to 9 exams (3 Applied Knowledge and 6 Applied Skills exams)
Students can take the ACCA Professional papers directly while studying, so that they can graduate with both a Degree and ACCA-Affiliate title**.
Students who completed ACCA Fundamental Skills papers may apply for module exemption (subject to approval by the University).

Receive exemptions^ for up to 5 modules with the Singapore Chartered Accountant Qualification (SCAQ) Foundation Programme

**During their programme of study, students can skip the ACCA Fundamental level and take the ACCA Professional papers directly. Subject to Conditional Exemptions (CE) Pathway approval from ACCA.
^Foundation Programme Module Exemption Fees are waived for Candidates with Accredited degrees.
Graduation & Degree Awarded
Students who successfully complete and pass the modules stipulated in the programme structure will be awarded the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Accountancy and Financial Management from University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom.
The Degree will be the same as that awarded to the on-campus graduates in the United Kingdom.

In the event of cancellation, you will be notified at least 1 week before the programme commencement date, stated in your student contract with Kaplan, and our consultants will contact you to advise on a backup plan.

Entry Requirements
Academic Requirements
This Degree programme accepts the following qualifications, which includes:
- Polytechnic Diploma
- Kaplan Diploma
- Other private Diplomas and/or foreign qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis
English Language Requirements
- IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
- Applicants are required to meet the University’s English language requirement.
In all cases, the final decision on admission to the programme rests with the University.
Working Experience
- When required, work experience will apply as part of the admissions process. Applicants seeking recognition of experiential learning are required to provide a portfolio of evidence in accordance with the University’s Recognition of Prior Learning policies and practices. Any assessment on work experience and decisions on related admissions will be conducted by the University and will, where appropriate, lead to the recognition of the achievement of learning outcomes and the award of the University Credit.

The total tuition fee covers university registration, lectures/tutorials/workshops and main assessments such as assignments/tests/examinations/projects (where applicable), programme materials in digital format, Degree (if earned) and transcript.
